The Caledonian Riding Club’s Annual Spring Show drew a large entry from throughout the North of Scotland. This show is establishing itself as one of the premier equestrian events in the Highlands.
The weather was excellent making it ideal for horses and competitors alike.

The long journey for Danielle Warren  from Gairloch was made worthwhile  taking the

 In – Hand Championship with her 6 year old Welsh Section D Gelding Hillgarth Lygon.
 

The reserve went to Beth Simpson showing the 9year old gelding Alderney Ontario,
owned by Simpson Safety Fencing.

Alderney Ontario in the ridden section went one better, taking the ridden championship, this time ridden by Louise MacDonald.

The reserve in this section also made a long journey from Halkirk. M & J Gunn  with their New Forest 8 year old gelding
 Willoway  Chatterbox, this was his first show for the Gunn family and he has got off to a good start.

Local girl Jennifer Laidlaw from Fortrose won the Working Hunter Championship  with her 12 year old 14.2 Welsh Arab gelding  Brynmor.
 

The Reserve Working Hunter went to Abbey Edwards from Inverness with her 13 year old gelding Porthill Dixieland Jazz

Our thanks also to all those who helped set up the Working Hunter Course, the arena’s and not forgetting those who helped to clear up afterwards: Indeed our thanks to everyone who contributed in making it a most enjoyable and successful day.
