Caledonian Riding Club Showjumping & Equitation Jumping 16th May 2007 Black Isle Showfield
On Wednesday evening the 16th May the Caledonian
Riding Club held their annual Highland Amateur & Equitation Show Jumping
Competition. For a evening event the competition drew a considerable number of riders all eager to qualify for the final, which will be held at the Black Isle Show in August 2007. It was a demanding course set by Colin Hexley and this was reflected in the number of riders failing to get a clear round. Our Congratulations to the qualifiers; Kerry Williamson, Vickie Common, Catriona Ross, Adele MacIver and Abbey Edwards we wish them well at the final. Kerry Williamson on right and Vickie Common The qualifiers for the Equitation Jumping were; Abbey Edwards, Maggie Wylie and Sandra Davidson. The Finals to be
held at Blair horse Trials in August, again we wish them well. Our thanks once again to our small band of helpers without which we would be unable to run such competitions, our First Aid attendant and the caterers, not forgetting our judge for the evening; Anne Stewart and her writer Pam Lucas. The Show jumping ring has been left up, because we are running a show jumping training session with the ever popular Colin Hexley on Sunday afternoon. This presents a great opportunity for anyone interested in improving their skills to train on a course with a full set of jumps. Anyone interested please get in touch with Joyce Tel 01349 877400, full details can be obtained on our web site.
